Why every brand needs a media company

I can’t overstress how important it is to have a media company tell the story of your business or educate the public on a product.

Since the days I had several of my undergraduate lectures in Aeronautics, our professors always found the right videos to give us a clearer picture of what we were learning. Of course, there were days for physical experiments. You know what they say about a picture…

“worth a thousand words!”

how about audio? and then a video?

We learned a lot about the history of the aeroplane and how different aspects were inspired, even during breaks, we spent several hours watching lots of air crash investigation videos.

Amongst a lot of positives, a media company can provide your brand with the right strategies and concepts on how to manage the public image of your brand, product or business.

A media company is also able to drastically reduce the stress and hassle required in the production of high-quality content that best represents your brand.

Depending on what level of growth your business is in, there is always a media brand that can work with your budget to put the word out there that you exist.

There is so much content out there on the internet, on billboards, Google Ads, and so on, but have you ever thought for a moment that this could be your own brand being represented as well?

Likewise, already existing media businesses need to note that one media company is unable to successfully do everything. As such, it would also need a solid collaboration or partnership with other media brands.

All media companies have their unique domain of operations, which may include one or more of the following: print, TV, radio, news, films, music production, streaming, legal, content production, live events, set designs, electronics, software, and so much more.

You would agree that most times, media services can also be very expensive. One wouldn’t be surprised as media equipment is nowhere near cheap. Not even the skill.

While many do not consider the media valuable enough to invest in, perhaps due to the high priced services, one useful way to minimise the cost is to sign up for a membership plan or a subscription plan with a media production company. This way you can get access to consistent high-quality productions without compromising the standards of your quality.

Furthermore, there is a crop of persons who would rather prefer to use their mobile phones to produce media contents for their brands, but you would agree that while the gap between professional equipment and mobile phone productions may seem to be closing pretty fast, there is always a huge difference between a really good product and a professional product.

Take for instance an ad for a new wine product, one approach is to film the bottle from different angles, some lady tasting it and a background voiceover telling the viewers of how great it is.

Another approach is to film the stages of wine production, from growing the grapes on a healthy farm to harvesting and processing by hardworking men and women in different weather conditions, watching the fermentation process, then transportation of the wine syrup from one country to another, having lab scientists observe the product, obtaining consumption approval by the governing agencies,

…the bottling process and distribution to retail stores. Finally, a shot shows how an individual makes a purchase and serves it at a wedding banquet, the couple and guests taste it and love it.

The first approach may look good enough but the latter approach may win the hearts of potential consumers faster but the cost of pulling off all those shots ain’t cheap.

Don’t be pressurised, start at your level and grow, but do not neglect the power of a good media partnership.

In summary, you must understand that the media can be regarded as a high-quality commodity consumed by lots of people of different races and backgrounds. It can be compared to gas, you may not like it but your automobile or aeroplane needs it to function.

The movie you saw last night is media content, this post you are reading is media content, and also, that Instagram page you just viewed is media content, the list is endless.

As a corporate entity, you would be better of if your content is carefully planned out and your public image managed by the right media company.

Just a line of thought for you…

“If you’ve never thought of investing in the media, you need to think again”
